AIC - Anna University Incubation Foundation is a section 8 company founded by the Anna University with the grant from Atal Innovation Mission, Niti Aayog, Government of India to build a vibrant innovation and startup ecosystem in the country.
The foundation strives to provide innovation, incubation and startup services to budding entrepreneurs.
The aim is to provide start-ups with necessary guidance, networking, infrastructure, technology support, access to mentors, investors, and facilitating a host of other needs that may be required for the start- up to survive and scale.

- Build and nurture an innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Support creation of technology driven, IP centric startups in the focus areas, working closely with the industry, government agencies, university campuses and extended colleges.
Some of the long-term focus areas for the incubator include Agriculture, Healthcare, Clean Energy & Low Carbon Technologies, Transportation, Smart Materials, Aerospace, along with horizontal technologies such as AI, IoT, AR/VR, Robotics and Drones.
