An Overview
Atal Incubation Centre – Anna University Incubation Foundation is a Section 8 company founded by the Anna University with the grant from Atal Innovation Mission, at Niti Aayog, Government of India to build a vibrant innovation and startup ecosystem in the country. The foundation strives to provide innovation, incubation and startup services to budding entrepreneurs. The aim is to provide start-ups with necessary guidance, networking, infrastructure, technology support, access to mentors, investors, and facilitating a host of other needs that may be required for the start- up to survive and scale.

AIC – Anna University Incubation Foundation is Hosted by Anna University with the Grant from Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), at Niti Aayog, Government of India, to serve as a platform for the promotion of world-class Innovation Hubs, Grand Challenges, Startup Businesses, and other self-employment activities, particularly in Technology-Driven Areas.
National Institution for Transforming India, better known as NITI Aayog, was formed via a resolution of the Union Cabinet on 1 January 2015. NITI Aayog is the premier policy think tank of the Government of India, providing directional and policy inputs. Apart from designing strategic and long-term policies and programs for the Government of India, NITI Aayog also provides relevant technical advice to the Centre, States, and Union Territories.
Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) is Government of India’s flagship initiative to create and promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across the length and breadth of our country. AIM’s objective is to develop new programmes and policies for fostering innovation in different sectors of the economy, provide platforms and collaboration opportunities for different stakeholders, and create an umbrella structure to oversee the innovation & entrepreneurship ecosystem of the country
Anna University was established on 4th September, 1978 as a unitary type of University. This University was named after Late Dr. C. N. Annadurai, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. It offers higher education in Engineering, Technology, Architecture and Applied Sciences relevant to the current and projected needs of the society. Besides promoting research and disseminating knowledge gained therefrom, it fosters cooperation between the academic and industrial communities.

Our Vision and Mission
Fostering the environment and culture of Innovation that effects building an inevitable Startup community where we promote and nurture Entrepreneurship by providing Infrastructure, Technical/Business mentoring that evolves to be invincible.
- Support the creation of technology driven, IP-Centered startups in the focus areas, working closely with the industry, government agencies, university campuses and extended colleges.
- Developing a constructive culture of innovation and entrepreneurship targeting the stimulation of an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
